Uruguay National Brand Launch in China

As the annual flagship China market promotion project of the Uruguayan National Meat Institute (INAC), this campaign centered on the core communication proposition “Natural Taste, Born in Uruguay”. Leveraging the key moment of the Uruguayan President’s visit to China, the project generated concentrated brand exposure, elevating Uruguay beef from a standard imported ingredient to a premium, traceable national food icon.

The project aimed to build a high-end brand perception for Uruguay beef as naturally grass-fed, hormone-free, and fully traceable, enhancing its competitiveness in China’s premium beef market.

For brand localization, the campaign adapted the brand’s natural ranch advantages to the Chinese consumer and culinary context, translating them into clear, relatable core messages. This approach balanced the international brand tone with local audience resonance, ensuring efficient cultural adaptation.

For landmark-integrated marketing, the campaign capitalized on the presidential visit window, placing multiple high-definition LED screens in prime locations on Shanghai’s Nanjing Road pedestrian street, targeting large urban crowds and tourists for frequent exposure. Featuring visuals of ranch landscapes and premium cuts, the campaign crafted a natural, high-end brand narrative, achieving deep integration between a national brand and Shanghai’s iconic landmarks.

For digital content marketing, pre-launch activities were rolled out across Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Weibo, leveraging a matrix of food and lifestyle KOLs for pre-seeding and buzz generation. Combined with over 200 mainstream media releases, this established a full-spectrum marketing loop integrating online seeding and offline visibility, rapidly building brand credibility.

The campaign successfully propelled Uruguay beef to a branded, premium, and localized position in China, consolidating its high-end imported beef market positioning and laying a strong dual foundation of brand equity and channel development for long-term growth in the Chinese market.
